Scotto's

Back in the early 00's, my family owned a restaurant in northern New Zealand. It was called "Scotto's," after my dad, Scott Overmyer. Besides being an American restaurant, it was also a grocery. We imported all kinds of foods and other American things.

I worked there briefly as a server and prep cook. It was at Scotto's that I learned how to make espresso properly. I also learned a lot about cooking, but at the time I was usually just irritated that I had to go work. Now, I'm grateful for those lessons.

This page serves as a memorial and archive of sorts for the restaurant. There was a website once at http://scottos.co.nz, but that has long since disappeared into the aether.

The original address was:

Scotto's Restaurant
6/229 State Highway 17
Albany, Auckland
New Zealand

I don't have a record of the second address. I just remember that it was next to a Toyota dealership.

The menu in the first location was fairly static. After the restaurant moved, the menu had special themed days occasionally. Check out one of the dinner menus!
