The end of Q1 2015 should see the first real release of Monk as a publicly-consumable, FOSS product.
The following not-yet-implemented features are on track for that release:
- Quick and easy install process
- Themes for the public-facing part of the engine
- Dashboard with daily metrics
- Notifications for when a post or page becomes unusually popular quickly
- Ability to queue posts for publication
- Connect social media accounts to auto-share links to new posts as soon as they're published, or on a schedule you determine
Obviously, there's a lot of work that needs to happen between now and then.
A post will follow this one on Sunday about why I'm building Monk and why it's more than just a developer's experiment.
